Support for productions
Therapeutic support for cast, crew and contributors
Alongside my work with individual clients, I offer therapeutic support to people working in film, television and theatre.
Having spent more than twenty years working in the entertainment industry, I understand the particular pressures that can come with production life - long hours, uncertainty, visibility, rejection, demanding material and the emotional intensity of being part of a project that can take over your life for a while.
This can be arranged as part of a production's existing wellbeing or duty of care provision, or as additional therapeutic support where needed.
Pre-production
Where appropriate, I can discuss with production teams how individual therapeutic support might be incorporated into their existing wellbeing arrangements, particularly where cast, crew or contributors may be working with challenging or sensitive material.
During production
Providing individual therapeutic sessions for cast, crew or contributors who may be finding aspects of the production difficult.
This could be around anxiety, overwhelm, stress, burnout, difficult material, relationships at work, performance pressures or simply having somewhere confidential to talk when things feel like too much.
Sessions can be arranged online or in person, depending on the production and location.
Following production
The end of a production doesn't always mean the end of its emotional impact. After an intense project, people can find themselves struggling with exhaustion, a sense of anticlimax, difficult experiences or the transition back to everyday life.
Sometimes having a confidential space to talk can make it easier to process what has happened, make sense of how you're feeling and find your feet again after a demanding project.
Every production has different needs, so I’m happy to have a conversation about what might work for yours.
